What is the difference between sapper (#EOD) supervision and checking an area for unexploded ordnance β
Often public institutions, planners, contracting authorities, representatives of private contractors, etc., lump all services related to explosive objects and materials into one bag titled "sapper supervision" π€. Of course, they have the right to do so, but we will try to zoom in on the similarities and differences π.
The "sapper supervision" π§ is an alternative or continuation of the work that is recommended in the first stage, i.e. checking and clearing the land or water area before starting earthworks, archaeological, geotechnical, dredging, hydraulic engineering, etc. π§π·
If there are objects or installations in the area that negatively affect the unexploded ordnance detection equipment and make it impossible to check it, then it is worthwhile to use sapper supervision carried out directly during the aforementioned work. It provides the same safety in case of finding unexploded ordnance on the site π£π₯π§¨.
Sapper supervision can also complement/continue the clearing of land and water areas, such as during earthmoving or dredging π.
We provide a wide catalog of services and provide a suitable solution for each task π.
